　　POLITICO is looking for a web producer to join us on an Eastern Daylight Time schedule.

　　The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and sharp production skills. Acting as a bridge with our team in Australia, this role is focused on supporting the delivery of top-quality journalism for an audience based largely in Europe. You'll work with other talented, driven journalists to make POLITICO's journalism shine online, on social media and via POLITICO Pro, our real-time policy news service.

　　POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy and personalities of the European Union, the U.K. and the U.S.

　　We're seeking someone who is comfortable working at speed and with flexibility in a fast-growing media company, with the possibility to work a Sun-Thurs schedule as needed in the U.S. or equivalent EDT time zone. This is a full-time, remote-working position under an independent contractor status, reporting into our newsroom in Brussels.

　　What You'll Do:

　　Prepare articles, alerts and newsletters for publication, ensuring each piece of content is creative, impactful and of the highest possible quality.Enhance stories with powerful photos and infographics.Help to beat the competition by breaking news via alerts and social media, and pushing stories to the top of search results with smart SEO.Edit placement on the homepage to ensure our content is displayed correctly and attractively for our readers.Develop innovative, creative ways to promote stories using social media.Update our Poll of Polls data and live election results as required.Copy edit articles for online and in print.

　　What you'll need:

　　Experience working in a newsroom environment and the proven ability to meet deadlines. Experience with HTML or content management systems preferred. Working knowledge of EU and/or national European politics and policy is a plus.Written and verbal fluency in English is a must; proficiency and/or fluency in a second language is preferred.Candidates should have acute attention to detail and accuracy, as well as enthusiasm to be a team player.Graphic design experience (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign), digital photo editing and/or experience with data analysis/visualization/presentation tools are preferred.
