　　POLITICO Live is seeking a Summits Trainee to join its Brussels-based Events team starting in January 2024 for a period of 6 months.

　　In this role, you will contribute to the content production of POLITICO summits programs, and you will learn how to recruit and manage top level speakers, draft content for our marketing communications, manage the regular communication with events sponsors and coordinate the successful delivery of the event on the day.

　　As Summits involve cross-platform elements (print and online) and the input of many different constituents, the Summits Trainee interacts with colleagues from a wide range of departments across the company, including Editorial, Sales, Marketing and Logistics.

　　POLITICO Live is the live extension of our journalism, providing a platform for coverage and analysis of the ideas and people driving politics and policy. 　　What You'll Do

　　Program development:

　　Train with the Live Editor and draft Summit programs that are aligned with the newsroom and market needs Organize research calls with key stakeholders to identify prominent topics and appropriate speaker candidates Monitor competitors' landscape and industry trends to help produce business plans

　　Speakers' recruitment and management:

　　Train with the Summits Portfolio Manager and the Live Editor to recruit and manage speakers Prepare invitation templates and send speaker invitesSet up speakers pre-summit briefing calls as well as supporting documentation Manage some speaker liaison throughout the project development and onsite at the summit Train to create and update the summits microsites, apps etc Ensure a constant update of the database throughout the production process

　　Clients' relationship assistance:

　　Train to handle client relationship and assist in preparing kick-off and debrief calls with sponsorsAssist with the preparation of weekly calls, and implementation of client benefits (logo visibility, guest registration, briefing documents, etc.)

　　Logistics:

　　Train with the Live Operations Manager to ensure a smooth delivery of high-quality summitsPrepare notes and a detailed agenda for event moderators Assist with the coordination stage set up, catering, badges, distribution materials, hosts/esses Prepare all the necessary materials to deliver a smooth summit Manage summits' delegate app content

　　Marketing support:

　　Prepare marketing briefs Support in the preparation of marketing creatives, as well as content for emails, print & online materials

　　What You'll Need

　　Min Bachelor's Degree The ability to multitask, excellent communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of the function of the European Union and the process of its policies.News savvy, enthusiastic about digital journalism and the political sphereFluency in English; knowledge of other languages, such as French, German, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus.
