Job Description:

Own your career as a part time Web Developer and Power BI dashboard creator at GDIT. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to build custom web presence both internally and for the customer. In addition, you will have the opportunity to create and maintain key dashboards showcasing the status of the various data element being tracked in Power BI. Your work in web development at GDIT will have an impact on ensuring any web presence is both secure and sustainable.

As a Web Developer and Power BI visualization support, you will help ensure both internal and external customers have the latest available information on a variety of platforms. Our work depends on a Web Developer joining our team to meet the demands of maintaining several web presences with the potential of more in the future as well as several Power BI dashboards.

HOW A WEB/Power BI DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Understands the concept of developing a flexible and pleasing web presence that is in line with best security practices and creative input

Review code prior to execution to ensure it is within commercial best practices

Develop and maintain proper branding site wide

Provide support and advice to review existing web sites as requested and provide creative feedback and recommendations on adherence to commercial standards

Review and maintain both existing Power BI dashboards detailing data visualizations ad create new ones to support internal and external requirements

Ability to provide an independent assessment and develop supporting briefings/documentation based on requests to review identified websites or support agreements

This position requires interaction with customers within a Joint Environment and well as individual services

Maintains current knowledge of industry standard web development best practices

Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree: BA/BS or equivalent years of experience

● Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

● Required Technical Skills: Experience using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages; Power BI scripting language proficiency to build reusable report templates

● Certification: N/A

● Security Clearance Level: SECRET

● Required Skills and Abilities: Code review, analysis, and development

● Location: Remote with potential travel to Tampa and other customer facilities

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.11 - $34.50. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
