JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Weatherization Technician performs duties thatrelate to rehabilitation and weatherization of customers\' homes and theduties necessary in the preparation and completion of home improvementand weatherization services. These duties include, but are not limitedto, insulation of attic, insulation of sidewall and floor, installationof windows, doors, vents, weather-stripping and other weatherization,home repair and energy measures as assigned. JOB DUTIES: Be responsibleto and report to assigned Foreman. Assist in loading and unloading ofdepartment vehicles. Assist with the maintenance and inventory controlof equipment, tools and material. Develop and use skills in homeimprovement, rehabilitation, weatherization and energy savingtechniques. Safely and adequately operate tools and equipment utilizedin the performance of tasks. Responsible for satisfactory completion ofassigned work. Attendance and participation in work related training andseminars as directed by supervisor. Compliance with Partners policies asdetermined by the Board of Directors and with State and Local Programguidelines relating to program operations. Assist in the necessaryoperations for the preparation of and completion of home repair, homeimprovement, and weatherization tasks ( i.e. measurers and clean-up).Respect customers\' property and personal matters. Maintainconfidentiality of clients\' personal information. Foster relationshipswith peers, and supervisors to ensure a positive work environment andprofessional relationships. Other duties as assigned. ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Willing tolearn the operation of blower door, pressure diagnostic, detector gauge,carbon monoxide digital analyzer and tester, furnace analyzer and testerand other equipment required for the job. Knowledge of home improvement,carpentry, and/or weatherization/insulation techniques. Ability andwillingness to learn to read and decipher work orders and conduct basicmath related to construction and material estimation. Ability tointeract well with diverse personalities. Ability to perform physicallydemanding tasks in demanding environments and extreme weatherconditions. Ability to use ladders and work at heights of up to four (4)stories. Ability to work for extended periods of time in confined spacessuch as attics and crawl spaces. Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. Avalid Wisconsin driver\'s license, auto insurance, and a good drivingrecord.
