JOB TITLE: Water/Wastewater Technician III
MUSTS: Must be 18 years of age, Must have a high school diploma orequivalent, Have a valid Colorado Driver's license with a safe drivingrecord. . Be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Will workindoors andoutdoors with normal associated risks.
SKILLS:QualificationsKnowledge of:1. Methods, techniques and tools and the operational characteristics ofmechanicalequipment used in construction repair and maintenance.2. Of safety practices and purposes of general hand tools and light equipment.3. Of a two-way radio system operation.4. Safe work practices.Ability to:1. Maintain records and follow laws.2. Perform safe and lawful operations of a motor vehicle.3. Perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in a variety of construction andmaintenanceactivities.4. Perform semi-skilled maintenance, construction and repair work in thearea of workassigned.5. Operate a variety of vehicular and stationary mechanical equipment in asafe and effectivemanner in routine situations.6. Use and operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and power tools andequipmentrequired for the work in a safe and effective manner.7. Perform heavy manual labor.8. Perform on-call duty as required by department.9. Walk or remain standing for long periods of time.10. Read and interpret basic maps and blueprints if required.11. Work independently in the absence of supervision when necessary.
DUTIES: Perform a variety of preventative maintenance and repair of Citypublic infrastructure and property related to water distribution andwastewater collection systems. Perform a wide variety of work at the water andwastewater treatment plants under plant supervisors. Work varying shifts andschedules, including on-call, as needed and required by supervisor.
WAGES: $48,830-$42,871 annually, depending onqualifications and experience. Paid monthly.

DURATION: This is a permanent position.
SHIFT: This is a full-time position of 40 or more hours per week. Will workvarious days and shifts, will also have times of being on-call. Exact daysand hours will be assigned by the employer.
