　　We are currently looking for a Formulation Scientist to join our thriving global color cosmetics R&D team to design, create and execute new lip color chassis, shades and textures that deliver superior and desirable consumer benefits. The scientist will be accountable for delivering the formula related technical readiness milestones throughout the launch timeline. They will also work closely with the principal scientist and manager to ensure proof of performance and R&D deliverables are met.

　　In this role you will be responsible for:

　　Develop formulas and on trend shades that deliver superior consumer performance on time while providing regular updates to manager.Technical method development and design/execution of rheological, physical, and mechanical performance tests for characterizationOperate laboratory equipment, follow R&D procedures, and document development and experimental resultsTest and document formula or integrated product performance and stability results to implement optimizationWork across R&D disciplines (process, analytical, packaging, regulatory, safety, etc..) to enable projects and assist teams in root cause of issuesInteract with raw material vendors and other industry representatives to enable formula development that meets consumer and business needsTechnical standard development and specifications on timeComply with all company policies, procedures, safety, and GMP

　　Essential:

　　B.S. in Chemistry or related science field2 - 3 years' experience in formula design and development in an R&D environment or equivalent education experienceProcess scaleup experience or pigment technology a plus.Technical knowledge in chemistry and raw materials, particularly natural ingredients and colorantsPerform good experimental execution, data collection, and documentationStrong communication and organization skillsInnovative and creative thinker who can work independently.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an innate curiosityPassion for beauty with a general understanding of color productsAbility to collaborate and evolve in a fast-paced matrix environment

　　Physical Demands/Requirements

　　Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeAbility to occasionally travel to assigned regions - domestic and internationally. This will require frequent sitting for an extended period of timeAbility to routinely follow policies and procedure related to company practices and safety proceduresAbility to operate various office equipment and/or machinery
