Water Utility Operations Intern - 105846

　　DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary RoleThis operations internship experience will introduce you to the exciting career opportunities in the water and wastewater field at Pennsylvania American Water.The successful candidate will: Learn firsthand how water utilities support communities and provide resiliency and sustainability, Work with a team of professionals to provide administrative, analytical and/or technical support pertaining to routine day-to-day operations for a department and/or functional area.

　　Key Accountabilities* Provide support to operational staff.* Assist in preparing and maintaining files, records, drawings, reports, maps, charts, budgets and other data related to engineering and construction projects.* Assist in the preparation and review of technical reports, cost estimates and budgets.* Enter data and perform analysis in information systems.* Assist in preparing, analyzing and evaluating reports on a wide variety of items including variances related to specific department work processes, regulatory requirements, budgets, capital expenditures, work orders, departmental and/or organizational performance, etc.

　　Knowledge/Skills* Detail oriented to conduct thorough analyses and evaluations, render and implement timely decisions and recommendations.* Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects and deadlines.* Ability to seek input/feedback and coordinate with staff.* Good communication skills.* Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases and software to support specific assignments.* Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

　　Experience/Education* Enrollment in an Engineering, Environmental, Science, and/or Business undergrad degree program or relevant program from an accredited school.* Minimum of 2 years of completed course work.

　　Other Requirements* Valid Driver's License and ability to pass motor vehicle background check.* Must be able to submit pre-employment background check.
