Support involves dailyinteractions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, andcommunications, as well as external communication with project recipients inacademia, private industry, and National Laboratories.The position will directly support EERE's Water Power TechnologiesOffice's (WPTO) mission to advance cutting-edge technology to modernizethe U.S. hydropower fleet and drive U.S. leadership in new ocean and riverenergy, with the goal of delivering low-cost power and resiliency to thenation's power grids. The position will provide recommendations and adviceon system development, improvements, and optimization. An ideal candidatewill have project management experience and experience with research,development, and deployment of innovative hydropower technologies.Responsibilities include:Assist with project management, performance monitoring, documentation,and progress assessment for WPTO-funded projects.Support the development, coordination, and management of competitivesolicitations and merit reviews.Engage with hydropower and marine hydrokinetic industry stakeholdersappropriately to ensure needs and gaps are being addressed where possible.Assist in developing internal briefing materials for decision-makers andcontribute to a technical review of external communications.Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials,congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Scientific discipline.5 plus years of experience.Professional attitude.Project Management experience.Strong attention to detail.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills.Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highlydynamic collaborative team.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Successful drug screening.Preferred Qualifications:Ability to actively track and monitor government-funded research anddevelopment projects.PMP Certification.Experience working within DOE EERE.Excellen communication skills - verbal and written.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highlydynamic collaborative team.Knowledge of sources of renewable energy, principles of renewable energygeneration and storage, power conversion, modeling, simulation, and analysis.Benefits:Boston Government Services offers a competitive total compensation package.Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PaidVacation, 401K, Long and Short-Term Disability.Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between$75,000 and $110,000 annually is commensurate with experience relativeto the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.EEO:Boston Government Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Actionemployer.
