　　Sylvamo’s Ticonderoga, NY Mill is located on the shores of Lake Champlain. In operation since 1971, the mill produces high end printing and technical papers harvested from Adirondack and Vermont forests. We employ over 600 dedicated employees focused on safety, environment, quality and production.

　　The Water and Wastewater Treatment Area Manager will be responsible for managing the large and complex raw water treatment and waste water treatment system (activated biomass lagoon, multiple clarification steps) to deliver outstanding results in the areas of safety, environmental regulation and permit compliance, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity.

　　Key duties and expectations:

　　Promote a safe and caring culture with the Water and Wastewater Treatment area.

　　Maintain full compliance with all regulations and permit limits.

　　Meet the corporate requirements for managing waste water systems and interface with environmental department and corporate resources on issues.

　　Set expectations, leverage teamwork, and hold individuals and team accountable for results.

　　Provide necessary resources to the crew to achieve their goals.

　　Work with other mill areas to ensure necessary information and coordination with the water and wastewater treatment area is being communicated.

　　Work with crew members to identify and improve their individual skills.

　　Set maintenance priorities on a weekly basis and lead the mill outage activities in the areas of responsibility.

　　Implement reliability and manufacturing excellence initiatives such as work systems, basic care, and RCFA.

　　Ability and desire to lead and participate in continued training and development regarding theory and operation of activated sludge systems.

　　Develop a cursory understanding of the Utilities department operation and assume the department leadership role on a rotating weekend schedule.

　　Qualifications:

　　3 – 5 years of leading team members in a manufacturing setting.

　　Ability to provide leadership and direction while improving engagement of their team.

　　Prefer a general knowledge of theory and operation of activated sludge systems and experience establishing and managing KPIs

　　B.S. degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field strongly preferred.
