Job Title: Wastewater Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Wastewater Plant Operator for an operations project in Brook, IN. The Plant Operator will perform a wide range of tasks from mid-complex to complex, mainly focused on field assignments based on requirements. You will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant, demonstrating good interpersonal skills, and applying a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments. You will also be expected to participate actively in creating a safety culture at the jobsite while adhering to the policies and standards set forth in our Project Delivery Manual (PDM), Employee Manual, and Corporate Health Safety Manual.

Hard Skills

Operation and maintenance of treatment plant

Routine maintenance of equipment

Operating facilities with computer or PLC controls

Regulating and adjusting chlorinators, chemical feed pumps, and other process equipment

Collecting samples and performing routine in-lab tests

Maintaining a log of operations and maintenance activities

Operating system to maintain compliance with permit requirements

Operating a variety of equipment: forklift, aerial or scissor lifts, generator, compressors, pumps etc.

Performing basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results

Knowledge of Microsoft Office
