Warehouse Slab Handler - Slab Experience Required

　　Work Mode: Onsite

　　Location: Long Island City, NY (Ann Sacks Warehouse)

　　Shift: Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

　　Status: Full Time / 40 hours per week

　　Pay: $21-24 hourly, depending on experience

　　The Slab Handler (Warehouse-3) position contributes to the overall slab warehouse operation, safety operating a forklift and other warehouse duties as assigned.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Practice and follow all required safety regulations.

　　Keep equipment, tools, and workspace in clean, safe working condition.

　　Ensure orders are pulled accurately and efficiently.

　　Properly palletizes orders.

　　Become familiar with part numbers and material descriptions.

　　Ensure orders are properly labeled for shipment.

　　Wrap and secure orders for shipment.

　　Assist Will-Call customers with pick-up and loading of purchases.

　　Verify LTL shipments are properly loaded, and Bills of Lading are correct.

　　Safely and efficiently operate a forklift. On and off forklift multiple times per day.

　　Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor (including Process Leads).

　　Job requires repetitive lifting of up to 20-70 pounds.

　　Skills/Requirements

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.

　　Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, ceramics, or warehousing environment.

　　Forklift experience required.

　　High School degree or GED preferred.

　　Consistent attendance record and adherence to the attendance policy for Ann Sacks.

　　Ability to communicate effectively for safe slab handling.

　　Ability to perform essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

　　PREFFERED REQUIREMENTS:

　　Forklift operator with experience with operating attachments specifically designed for handling stone, tile and glass.

　　Stone Handling (Natural/Manmade/Porcelain): Slabs/Bundles Utilizing Forklift/Attachments (Boom, Spreader Beam, Stingers, Chains, etc.).

　　Boom Forklift Extension, Slab Lifter/Clamp, Slings/Straps, Crank Straps.

　　PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

　　This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, andreaching. Regularly lifting of 20-30 pounds, occasionally 50 + pounds.
