SUMMARY
Oversee all aspects of the warehouse from the time the material is received to the time it leaves. This includes setting up the duties for the shift team and following through on expected results. Expected hours Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm. Occasional weekend work may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize, delegate and communicate all work functions to warehouse employees, as follows: Ensure all employees adhere to safety procedures. Report safety hazards and assist in filing of injury reports, as required.
Assist with the smooth shift Pass-down from days to nights by providing information to the employees each night when they arrive into the building
Ensure all materials are pulled for production in a timely manner to facilitate the workflow with the production department
Receive in Material from Outside Vendors
Follow-up on emails including requests that may come through to audit and confirm inventories
Pull important material that the facility is waiting on
Pull Material for Mail runs between both Data-Mail facilities
Creating picklists to be pulled by Warehouse personnel
Process recycling and disposition of materials
Shipping and handling of outbound deliveries
Oversee the effectiveness of material locating
Ensure all procedures are being followed by warehouse personnel (accountability)
Drive a reach truck, forklift, and walk and ride electric pallet jack as required
Oversee the processing of leftover material from other departments and inventory as needed
Training and evaluation of new (and existing) staff on procedures and processes
Comply with company rules and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma plus 3 years’ experience leading employees in a warehouse and /or similar environment.
COMPETENCIES
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of computers
Good leadership skills
Organizational and analytical ability
License (or significant experience) driving motorized equipment (A MUST)
