Objectives of the Position
Lead, motivate and empower employees through effective & open communication, excellent leadership, regular performance feedback, and team building to maximize customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and team productivity. Adhere to the safety rules / compliance and provide leadership to warehouse, logistics and Exim operations to ensure safe working practices and promoting safety / compliance awareness. Ensure warehouse, logistics and Exim related processes are functioning effectively to support business growth with optimized cost.
Main Tasks
Warehouse Operations:
Responsible for all warehousing operations and inventory control with optimized storage space/cost.
Ensuring that all goods picked for delivery are of the correct quantity and acceptable quality to avoid unnecessary delays in delivery.
Overseeing delivery systems to meet customer requirement.
Internal check on the SAP warehouse SAP transactions.
Managing, updating and recording material flow to prevent stock discrepancies.
Coordinating internally with the operation, purchasing and sales department regarding order management and order confirmation.
Preparing and analysing inventory reports for the management.
Managing team members, planning distribution schedules and overseeing daily transport requirements.
Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner.
Optimizing supply chain processes to increase revenue margin.
Ensure 5s activity & safety culture.
Ensure statutory requirements in place for warehouse operations.
Logistics Operations:
Ensure Transportation distribution safety across the value chain.
Define SOP and find right / Premium logistics provider to meet the need.
Optimising total delivery cost by managing in-bound and out-bound deliveries.
Driving distribution network re-design, logistics excellence, and other projects relating to logistics operations.
Maintaining / adherence to KPIs related to OTIF, and order fulfilment.
Driving up-stream and down-stream improvement projects in line with the larger customer service strategy of the organisation.
Proactively manage issues linked to transport delays or product availability, promptly informing the relevant partner.
Understanding of the Logistics Agreement/contract and implement.
Performance review -Service providers, Service provider bill checking / processing.
Cost Reduction, Transit Time Reduction projects implementation.
RCCA against customer complaints related to service quality.
Ensure effective implementation of supply chain procedures in SAP.
Ensure all statutory compliances are in place like GST, FTA (Form AI) & other export documents.
Coordinate with cross-pole team on the export and ensure documents requirements are met inline with the destination requirement.
EXIM – Export & Import
Evaluate all items for import and ensure accuracy in all values and collaborate with customer brokers to provide clearance of all imports and maintain required documents.
HSN/Customs Tariff act knowledge. Guide team on the HSN code by collaboration with trade compliance team.
knowledge of DGFT/Custom / ICEGATE functions & EDPMS/IDPMS process.
Experience in Customs duty deferment process / other benefit which has a positive impact to working capital.
Hands on experience in IGCR/ AEO T2/T3 / MIS / drawback / RoDTape / Customs bonded warehouse / FTWZ / Advance license /EPCG license / Project Import - End to End process.
Manage import & export documentation - validate the correctness of the documents and support team to verify checklists for import/export filing.
resolve queries related to customs, GST & other department proactively.
Support team to ensure DSR of the shipments and update the same on a regular basis.
Design and implement the KPI for CHA as well as Freight Forwarders for import / export shipments.
Submission of BOE documents to customer based on the need.
Fully responsible for Internal / External Audit & Compliance.
Experience in handling Forex Activities & financials tools (LC, BC, Supplier Credit, BG etc).
Update and review of export register, which required by various authorities (External / Internal).
Ensure all the document retention based on the internal / external policy.
Handling various INCOTERMS like FOB, CIF, DDP, DDU, Demurrage/Detention etc.
Minimum Education and Qualification Required forthe Position
Education:Bachelor’s Degree/MBA Material & Logistics Management / Equivalent, Masters Preferred.
Working Experience: Minimum 8-10 Years.
Technical & Professional Knowledge: Expertise of working in Auto Industry / allied industry, FMCG, industry recognition /experience in the field.
