JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Fraser Shipyards is looking for aTemporary Warehouse Laborer to support the warehouse duties of directingreceiving, warehousing and distribution operations for our fast-growingorganization. The Warehouse Laborer supports the Warehouse Management inthe distribution of all goods and items received, as well as generaljanitorial duties. Primary Responsibilities Assists shipping andreceiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise Prepares ordersby processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packingboxes; placing orders in delivery area Sorts and places materials oritems on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standardsOpens bales, crates and other containers recording amounts of materialsor items received or distributed. May also assist in counting ofphysical inventory Maintains safe and clean work environment by keepingshelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; Sweep, dust and mop.Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times Wears theproper safety equipment Required Skills and Abilities Goodcommunication, organizational, time management mathematical skillsDependable and Reliable Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry andcomputer skills may be required. Qualifications High School diploma orequivalent preferred 1-2 years previous warehouse experience, preferablymanufacturing industry, preferred. Candidates must be able to pass aMotor Vehicle background check prior to being considered for hire.Physical Requirement Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walkor stand for long periods of time. Able to work in a manufacturingenvironment which includes moderate noise exposure, occasionallyclimbing up steep stairs/steps, walking for moderate periods of timeover even and uneven terrain, reaching forward, overhead, and to thesides, etc. Must have listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with handsand arms. Must be able to work in areas at times that are notenvironmentally controlled. Able to move/lift/pull/push 50 lbs. Musthave a valid Class D driver\'s license.
