Essential duties andresponsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): Inventory ControlEnsure inventory is received appropriately and efficiently processed inthe warehouse. Manage inventory programs to company standards. Maintaininventory integrity to acceptable metric. Ensure proper layout ofwarehouse and product placement, and proper maintenance and organizationof all warehouse areas so that its appearance is conducive to creating aperfect load for our Stores and Customers. Recommend alternatives forwork methods, procedures, controls and staffing to achieve accurate andtimely movement and processing of product Communicate with associates sothey can anticipate change and solve problems to maintain maximumefficiency as inventory needs require. Ensure Cycle Counting program ismaintained and all discrepancies are properly investigated and resolvedOversee all Physical Inventories to include: inventory prep, countingfunctions and reconciliation People Management Assist in the planningand management of daily work activities within the warehouse to expediteworkflow. Champion the goals and direction of the Supervisor Coach,train and develop inventory team through informal coaching and formaltraining programs. Provide ongoing coaching, development andrecognition. Develop team for future roles; ensure team understands thedeliverables and is supportive of innovation and change Ensurecompliance with safety procedures and rules in the facility. Wear properPPE. Report accidents and incidents; perform accident investigations ina timely manner Ensure employees obtain training related to facilitypolicies and procedures. Communicate and assist with safety and othertraining programs Ensure proper staffing is procured for all\"projects\" outside the normal scope of the warehouse functionQualifications Experience must include a minimum of 3-4 years of priorfront line lead/supervisory experience with demonstrated leadershipabilities. Demonstrated experience with WMS functions and how theyrelate to operational procedures including receiving, order processing,picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting and reverse logisticsDemonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Must use judgment torecommend changes to existing methods and make decisions in situationswhere only limited standardization exists. Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice and with strong Excel skills. Strong oral and writtencommunication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively withvendors and all levels of employees in the organization. Able toeffectively manage confrontational situations in a controlled andcourteous manner. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safetyrules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to writeroutine reports and correspondence. Ability to handle multipleprojects/tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to calculate figures andamounts such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability toapply concepts of basic algebra. A basic understanding of accountingprocedures and financial statements. Must be able to become forkliftcertified, if applicable. Must be able to work a flexible schedule tomeet the needs of the business including peak seasons and specialevents.
