Description

　　Banking institution looking for a VP Controller.The VP Controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company.

　　This position leads and directs the work of others and is responsible for the production

　　of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records,

　　and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the

　　accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results

　　comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting

　　standards.

　　DUTIES OF THE POSITION

　　The duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

　　Provides guidance and direction to the team, including setting performance

　　standards and supervising performance

　　Identifies the developmental needs of subordinates by coaching, mentoring, and

　　giving constructive feedback to improve their knowledge and skills

　　Ensures adherence to laws and company policies and procedures and

　　undertakes disciplinary actions if the need arises

　　Supervises employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing and

　　budgeting duties

　　Supervises the implementation, management, preparation, and interpretation of

　　financial statements in US GAAP, International Accounting Standards, regulatory

　　accounting and US tax. Must be abreast of changes in the financial industry, tax,

　　accounting pronouncements and the regulatory environment, assessing the

　　impact thereof on the Branch

　　Prepares or directs the preparation of managerial reporting requirements to

　　Branch Management and Head Office
