Position Summary
The VP - Finance Transformation works with key stakeholders to identify and implement operational efficiencies in the global Finance function by improving or eliminating processes, implementing technology, and utilizing our shared service center. The VP will drive efficiencies in existing and new activities to enable better financial foresight across the organization and to improve finance contributions to the business. This role partners and closely collaborates with the Senior Vice President – Global Transformation office.
Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for financial operational efficiencies:
Develop a comprehensive understanding of finance operations, identifying operational process maturity gaps, and devising effective solution strategies.
Own the transformation program roadmap, driving its successful implementation, and operational stability.
Lead the team in developing business requirements, process maps, and future state processes and controls.
Responsible for model design and developing organizational strategies which include shared services, business process outsourcing, and centers of excellence.
Risk rate and prioritize projects consistent with operations and shared service initiatives.
Recommend go or no-go decisions for respective initiatives.
Implement selected financial operational efficiencies and process improvements:
Serve as project manager leading the implementation of these efficiencies and process improvements.
Be involved in the details of the project to ensure timely and accurate completion, which may require preparation of deliverables and workpapers.
Develop and maintain cost benefit analyses for proposed efficiency projects and process improvements.
Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of initiatives.
Manage cost benefit analyses for these initiatives.
Report regularly to management on the progress, including success and failures of these initiatives.
Collaborate with operations and key stakeholders to support operational needs and changes:
Develop collaborative relationships with key operational and shared service stakeholders to proactively identify potential opportunities for finance efficiency process and internal control improvements.
Supports the Company’s Operational Excellence function with Finance aspects of projects and initiatives.
Be thought leader for finance operational processes and systems strategies.
Assist with special projects on an as needed basis.
Trains, mentors, and develops members of the department and works with peers to maintain a positive team atmosphere.
Collaborates with the offshore function and identifies additional functions to migrate.
Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or Business Administration, required
Master of Business Administration, preferred
CPA and/or MBA, preferred.
Minimum 13 years’ finance transformation experience, required.
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication, people, project management and organizational skills, required.
Includes some levels of domestic and international travel, as needed.
CPA preferred and certification should be maintained via ongoing CPE, if applicable.
Must complete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.
Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize, manage others, and meet deadlines.
Highly motivated, creative, articulate, results oriented.
Ability to grow and change with the organization.
Flexible and able to operate in fast paced, changing, and complex data environment.
Leadership skills, presence, and ability to interact with all levels in the organization, required.
Demonstrated ability to balance macro-to-micro perspectives, with a strategic mindset and meticulous attention to detail in decision-making and execution.
Extensive experience in project management, overseeing large-scale, complex cross-functional programs with a keen focus on delivering outcomes within scope, budget, and timelines.
Able to influence and negotiate, both internally and externally.
Ability to work in an organized, detailed manner under tight deadlines.
Ability to grasp complex issues quickly.
Outstanding communication skills, ability to present complex technical information in simple terms.
Strong team building and people development skills.
