DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist in this capacity, you will provide compliance, consultation, and oversight related to federal mandates described in WIOA, Section 511, related to the usage of sub-minimum wage by Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Section 14(c) holders. These tasks will be completed by conducting informational sessions with identified sub-minimum wage participants, completing compliance documentation, reviewing working conditions, and reporting to federal Department of Labor (DOL) partners regarding compliance or working condition findings.
Innovative critical thinking skills are utilized to participate in strategic planning and/or program development related to the activities associated to Section 511 of WIOA.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of professional experience in rehabilitation work, vocational guidance, employment counseling or placement, psychology, or social work, two years of which must have been in the field of vocational rehabilitation; and a bachelor's degree; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Graduate study in the behavioral sciences may be substituted for the required general experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of one year.
