At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Virtualization/Storage Capability Manager, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Project/Task Supervisor joining our team to support NETCOM’s Global Enterprise Fabric (GEF) worldwide platform.
Under the guidance of the Deputy Program Manager, you will:
Supervise, coordinate, and manage a global team of VMware administrators, ensuring that technical solutions and implementation schedules are implemented in a timely manner
Take a lead role in the oversight, planning, and implementation of projects and initiatives
Develop technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task orders to provide insight and recommendations to multiple levels of management for courses of actions and process improvements that benefit GEF
Coordinate the onboarding, migration, and deployment of tenant assets (both physical and virtual) into the GEF infrastructure
Monitor the health and wellness of all enterprise systems
Track the installation of new hardware and replacement of “end of life” or defective hardware at installations worldwide
Manage patching schedules and mitigate critical vulnerabilities that could impact GEF operations
Coordinate resources to meet deadlines for deliverables of products and assigned tasks
Arrange, attend, and conduct meetings and briefings to coordinate GEF efforts with stakeholders and supported commands
Create documentation, reports, briefings, and project plans necessary to support GEF
Participate in special projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent , and 5+ years relevant Virtualization/Storage and project management experience
Certifications: 8570 certification IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP AND ITIL or an approved Project Management certification (within 6 months of hire)
Security Clearance Level: Ability to secure and maintain a SECRET level security clearance
Required Skills and Abilities: leadership, resource management, Virtualization/Storage, and logical troubleshooting
