  Job Summary and Qualifications

  This position will be accountable for developing business strategies and operations for the Children’s and Women’s Hospital. The development of business strategies will focus on growing volume, revenue and Medical City Children’s Hospital market share. The operations should focus on improving efficiency and patient throughput. This will be accomplished through developing alignment with physicians and deploying business strategies and building relationships with departmental peers.

  Primary Functions:

  Business Development

  Lead Physician Alignment Strategy for Service Line (HCA Physician Services employment, ASC investment, co-management model, medical directorships and PSAs, and joint governance model)

  Service Line specific agenda for Physician Recruiting, Physician Sales, HCA North Texas, Regional Development

  New Service Identification

  Service line specific Strategic Planning

  Operational support for entire pediatrics service lines including surgery, facilities, lab, etc.

  Secondary Functions (matrixed with other functions):

  Physician Relations (Medical Director and Physician Leaders)

  Marketing/Communications Plan and Material (Marketing/Communications)

  Budgeting and Fiscal Management (Finance)Cost Containment (Supply Chain)

  Achieving Operational Metrics (patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, productivity, quality)

  Facility Development

  What qualifications you will need:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration. MHA or MBA preferred.

  Minimum five years of Healthcare Business Development experience required.
