Join our client, an innovative Venture Capital firm that empowers startups worldwide, guiding them from inception through IPO and beyond, leaving a lasting impact.

Based in Menlo Park, the Fund Accounting Manager will work closely with the finance team, partners, and team leads, blending traditional accounting with strategic initiatives. This HYBRID role offers a benefits package including a target 20% annual bonus, comprehensive insurance, a Phantom share plan, and unlimited paid time off.

Responsibilities:

Review weekly transactions and manage investment documentation.

Calculate capital call allocations.

Track and report cash and stock distributions.

Analyze partners’ quarterly and year-to-date capital allocations.

Mentor and develop accounting staff.

Conduct and document technical research for complex transactions.

Update LP interest transfers and contact information.

Prepare and document quarterly valuation analyses for portfolio companies.

Stay current on industry best practices and valuation guidance.

Identify key assumptions in valuation models and communicate results.

Assist with the quarterly close and preparation of financial statements.

Coordinate audit requests and prepare year-end financial statements and notes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar

Minimum of 6 years of experience in public audit or working in-house within the Venture Capital or Private Equity Industry

Ability to drive accounting close and yearly audit in a hands-on role

Advanced Excel modeling skills

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Investran, Intacct, QuickBooks) is a plus
