What you'll do
Reporting into the Senior Supplier Relationship Manager, you will play a key role in the evaluation and analysis of the performance of National Grid's global supply base and provide meaningful insights to senior leadership to drive continuous improvement and identify potential risks and opportunities that maximise value and savings.
* Global Performance Oversight - Own and communicate the consolidated global view of National Grid's supply base performance to enhance awareness of supplier performance and value opportunities.
* Vendor performance excellence - Define and develop a dynamic vendor performance dashboard, ensuring alignment with contract expectations and market standards (Quality, Pricing and Delivery timelines).
* Data analysis and strategic reporting - Lead the collection and analysis of vendor performance data and report on performance gaps, issues and unearth new opportunities to enhance value and drive improvements.
* Ownership and development of Executive Supplier Profiles - ensuring output is of appropriate quality. Development of a standardised process and content, to ensure timely delivery with the ability to refine to context and audience.
* Team Leadership - Develop and lead a motivated, innovative, and value-focussed team and foster a true performance management culture that continually drives value through employee engagement ensuring the successful delivery of strategic objectives.
* Supply Chain Transformation - Contribute to the supply chain transformation program and broader business-wide change activities and role model new ways of working
What we're looking for
We're looking for people who can demonstrate creativity and commercial acumen whilst identifying opportunities to drive value and deliver our net zero ambition, and a passion to grow yourself and our business. Someone who can provide.
* Strategic insight delivery - Seasoned global vendor performance manager capable of crafting executive packs and deliver key insights on suppliers, performance and categories
* Analytical prowess - Analytical person with a strong data background and a solid understanding of foundational data structure with the ability to normalize data from multiple data sources.
* Global Sourcing expertise - Background in broad, global sourcing-centric supply chain management and ability to navigate complex global enterprise environments
* Information intelligence mastery - Proven experience in developing and managing information intelligence processes and able to identify current states and forecast market opportunities
* Relationship building expertise - Ability to build fruitful and meaningful relationships across all business levels and able to influence senior management stakeholders
* Performance Excellence understanding - Extensive understanding of performance excellence and proficient with tools and techniques that drive continuous improvement

Annual Salary
NYC: $131,000-$154,000
MA: $122,000-$144,000
SYR: $110,000-$129,000
Salary commensurate with experience and location.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
