Develop and modify company quality procedures and oversee the development and daily implementation of food safety and quality systems.Key Responsibilities:Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.Monitoring the maintenance of food safety and quality monitoring records and conduct or assist with morning QA/Push ListCoordinate and assign work activities of departmentPerform HACCP and SSOP monitoring and verificationConduct line level problem analysisProvide back up for QA Manager during absenceEnsure hygiene and safety regulations are followed; perform regular product quality checksMaintain legible and accurate records or logs as requiredWork directly with warehouse supervisors and team members on rotation issuesWork directly with receiving (Fresh/Frozen/Deli) on quality audits of inbound product.Conduct or assist with follow up on QA Complaint Forms from sales or purchasing.Conduct or assist with processing specification audits (customer and in-house product specifications)Compile and store sanitation compliance data and reportsAct as a safety leader promoting safe work behaviors and overall plant safety at all times.Assist in verification of sanitation standards according to the Pathogen Prevention Program and environmental sampling protocols.Conduct new hire and ongoing job and safety training for relevant team membersParticipate in management and strategic planning meetings in the pursuit of operational excellenceBecome and maintain certification as an electric pallet jack and forklift operatorPerform other duties as assignedWhat You Bring to Pacific Seafood:RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a food processing environment.Proficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelPreferredMinimum three years' of demonstrated supervisory experience in leading a QA program.Prior experience with HACCP, COOL Act, GFSI, or other food safety programs.Prior forklift and pallet jack experience.Forklift certificationMust be able to work varied work schedules.Pay Range:$21.00 to $25.50 per hourTotal Compensation:At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
