Description

　　Duties:

　　BASIC SAFETY

　　ASSISTING PIPEFITTERS WITH A VARIETY OF BASIC TASKS.

　　FOLLOW CONSTRUCTION PLANS AND INSTRUCTIONS FROM SUPERVISORS OR MORE EXPERIENCED WORKERS.

　　PROPER INDENTIFICATION, USE AND CARE OF HAND POWER TOOLS

　　DUTIES INCLUDE USING, SUPPLYING OR HOLDING MATERIALS OR TOOLS, AND CLEANING WORK AREA AND EQUIPMENT.

　　CUTS OR DRILLS HOLES IN WALLS TO PERMIT PASSAGE OF PIPES, USING PNEUMATIC DRILL.

　　SELECTS SPECIFIED TYPE AND SIZE OF PIPE.

　　MOUNTS PIPE HANGERS AND BRACKETS ON WALLS AND CEILING TO HOLD PIPE.

　　ASSISTS PIPEFITTER TO INSTALL VALVES, COUPLING AND OTHER FITTINGS.

　　MAY DISASSEMBLE AND REMOVE DAMAGED OR WORK PIPE.

　　WORKERS SHOULD BE ABLETO FOLLOW SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS; PERFOM A VARIETY OF DUTIES WHICH MAY OFTEN CHANGE; WORK WITH STANDARDS OF ACCURACY; REPEAT TASKS OF SHORT DURATION.

　　STAND OR WALK FOR LONG PERIODS; USE ARMS AND HANDS TO REACH, HANDLE AND MANIPULATE OBJECTS.

　　LIFT AND CARRY MATERIALS.

　　LONG PERIODS OF KNEELING, STOOPING, AND CROUCHING
