About US Associate Medical Director, Respiratory/Allergy (Non-Alliance)

This position will report into the North America Medical Immunology team which is a segment of the Medical Specialty Care organization.

Our Medical function serves as a valued strategic partner with Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access on therapeutic solutions to support patients’ needs. The NA Medical Immunology team is proud to support Sanofi’s deep commitment to chasing the miracles of science to improve the lives of patients.

Job Description:

This position reports to the Senior Medical Director, Respiratory/Allergy.

Main job responsibilities:

In partnership with the Medical Director, develop and execute scientific educational programs which are aligned with the Respiratory/Allergy Medical Plan.

Develop Pulmonologist and Allergist-specific omnichannel strategy for the delivery of scientific engagement activities and educational programs which are personalized to meet the needs of HCPs based upon captured insights.

Lead the development of Respiratory/Allergy KOL mapping and field implementation, including but not limited to next generation leaders and digital opinion leaders

Network, collaborate and partner with key academic and scientific organizations to identify and meet their educational needs.

Support the development and execution of insight-rich advisory boards

Collate, analyze, and prepare regular insight reports for use by US and Global Medical, including cross-functional partners

Support development of annual Respiratory/Allergy medical tactical and budget planning

Lead development and execution of Respiratory/Allergy congress planning and ensure strong presence at US congresses

Ensure adherence to company compliance policies governing external interactions.

About you

Education : Advanced degree in a scientific discipline: MD, PhD, PharmD

Work Experience : Significant experience in Medical Affairs Launch and Life Cycle Management activities. Strong track record in developing and executing medical strategies in the US. Experience in Respiratory/Allergy preferred.

Skills / knowledge:

Knowledge of medical affairs and clinical development.

Scientific acumen. In-depth understanding of the scientific method and ability to apply this information for business needs based on medical and scientific rationale.

Relationships and Influence. Effective internal and external stakeholder management, politically astute with strong cross-functional teamwork and collaboration.

Strategic thinking. Ability to disrupt status quo with innovation while remaining pragmatic and focused on priorities. Ability to translate innovative strategies or solutions into actionable plans

Result orientation. Driven to develop and execute optimal strategy meeting corporate objectives, while creating pragmatic solutions. Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adapt with agility, take calculated risks and anticipate potential issues.
