SUMMARY
The person in this position will be responsible for working with electronic hardware design engineers and project managers to reduce the cost and improve the quality of Trane controls products. This candidate will be under the supervision of staff hardware engineers and project managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform troubleshooting procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers.
Perform product testing procedures assigned by electronic hardware design engineers.
Organize and report results of analysis work to engineers and project managers.
Review electronic component datasheets and specifications to identify substitute lower cost parts.
Manage, manipulate, and organize large component pricing MS Excel spreadsheets.
Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Currently enrolled with two years completed towards a BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Some familiarity with digital multi-meters and oscilloscopes would be beneficial.
Must be tenacious with quality and customer service orientation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone. Mobility within the work facility. Ability to travel independently. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Keyboarding.
