Working hours will be Swing Shift 2pm till 10:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday with Sunday & Monday off.
Working location will be the UCSF Mission Bay Campus.
As a Union Stationary Technician you’ll use your skills to maintain CBRE buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis by conducting routine preventive maintenance inspections, diagnosing potential problems, and making repairs.
Perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitor the building's system operations and performance. Use several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
Align with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records required for each job.
Review assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders vital materials and supplies to finish the tasks.
Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems, as well as with repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety standards.
Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. As well as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing and/or snow removal.
Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
What you’ll need
Confirmed experience in building maintenance; including lighting and electrical, Commercial HVAC repair and preventative maintenance, and basic plumbing.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
This role does require the use of a personal computer and/ or PDA for work order system, email, ESS and training.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Stationary Engineer position is $64.10 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
