Looking for a Unicorn Personal Trainer This is not your typical gym position. We are looking for a hybrid personal trainer that can not only deliver fanatical workouts but also run the social media for the gym. An Anytime Fitness® Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT) focuses primarily on helping all members “get to a healthier place.” A PFT must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to create and conduct safe and effective exercise for a wide variety of participants. In addition, he/she must be comfortable and confident with fitness program design, program instruction, and influencing behavior change. The PFT does this by servicing Functional Movement Screens, Small Group and TEAM Training, 1 on 1 Training, Virtual Training and additional programming opportunities as deemed appropriate by the individual club. Beyond the traditional roles described, the PFT provides guidance, education, and encouragement and most importantly, develops relationships with all members to improve retention. AF expects PFTs to possess above average customer service skills and be on a mission to provide a “surprisingly personable experience” with everyone he/she meets. Trainers are responsible for the general upkeep of the club (equipment and floor cleanliness), sales and marketing for programming, and proactive outreach to inactive members to assist in retention efforts. On the social media side, you will work closely with the managerial team to brainstorm, plan, and execute short videos, often on quick turnaround and post to social media sites. You should be comfortable and capable of shooting in a training studio environment. You will conduct preparation and production work, including basic storyboarding, staging, lighting, camera operation, sound engineering, and directing. You will handle basic post-production work including sequencing, video graphics, voice-over, and audio editing. Projects could range from member testimonials to group training/personal training action shots to special creative used for social media post and ads. Clearly, it’s key to demonstrate an ability to manage deadlines and timelines with various stakeholders and to approach all projects with insane enthusiasm and creativity.
