　　Century Automotive Service Corporation , a MAPFRE USA Company, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a leading provider of extended warranty programs and ancillary finance and insurance products. Century currently markets its products through specialized F&I (Finance & Insurance) Agencies that have relationships with car dealerships around the United States.

　　Underwriting Analyst - SQL, Microsoft Office / Excel required; VBA, R, SAS, Python preferred .

　　This position pays $60K to $73K, including comprehensive benefits as of Day One

　　Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MT / Fully Remote or hybrid in Century Office

　　Job Summary

　　The primary responsibilities of this position are to support Century’s actuarial and underwriting functions by providing in-depth financial and risk analysis of various business segments.

　　Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

　　Education and/or Experience: Pursuing bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field with a strong quantitative orientation. Actuarial exam candidates and non-exam candidates will be considered.

　　Competencies: Ability to comprehend actuarial concepts and other advanced statistical concepts; ability to think logically and perform accurate calculations in a timely manner; strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with internal customers. Must possess a customer service attitude.

　　Excellent Client / Customer Service: Must possess a customer service attitude and be able to ensure all customers, and/or client related issues are handled in a fast, fair and courteous manner.

　　Analytical skills: Must be able to gather information to accurately assess and resolve problems.

　　Computer Skills: Ability to use personal computer and related spreadsheet and database software. SQL, Microsoft Office / Excel required; VBA, R, SAS, Python preferred.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Become familiar with data sources and structure; retrieve and manipulate data, understand how to translate raw data into premium and loss information to drive decision making;

　　Develop knowledge of actuarial and underwriting methodologies;

　　Provide complex risk assessment and monitoring new business to promote profitability and growth;

　　Conduct and document moderately complex financial analysis and research;

　　Assist in developing innovative strategies, policies and procedures;

　　Prepare documents and present findings as directed. Communications skills are integral to success in the position. Recipients of documents may include all levels of company management;

　　Continually strive to improve work processes and increase efficiency; and

　　Other duties as assigned.
