As part of our Underground Utility Locateteam, you will perform utility locate services to ensure that IdeatekPlant is properly flagged / marked to avoid damage to our growing fiberoptic network. 　　Location:

　　The candidate that fills this position will primarily be working in theHutchinson, KS and Newton, KS areas and from the Buhler, KS officelocated at 111 Old Mill Lane.

　　This position provides a company vehicle that can be used to and fromjob sites.

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground telecommunicationsutilities

　　Update and keep locate status current on Kansas One Call Tickets

　　Ensure that all devices are properly working daily

　　Follow driving directions from Kansas 811 One-Calls

　　Evaluate line strike situations and issue a report (i.e what occurred/who is at fault / responsible for the damage)

　　Learn new devices and changing laws

　　Qualifications

　　Experience/Knowledge Required:

　　2+ years of work experience

　　Ability to walk 3 - 5 miles per day when needed

　　Intermediate computer skills (experience in MS Office and/or Google)

　　Must possess and maintain a Valid Drivers License

　　Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

　　Willing to work off-shift hours (nights, weekends, holidays, etc.) whenEmergency Line Strike Tickets are received

　　Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

　　Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

　　Willingness to learn proper locate techniques

　　Willingness to learn the state of Kansas Laws and Statutes forUnderground Utility Locates along with Kansas 811 Ticketing Training

　　Preferences:

　　Telecommunications Outside Plant Experience

　　1 + years Underground Utility Locating Experience

　　General knowledge of Utility Right-of-Ways and Easements

　　Familiarity with Telecommunications Fiber Maps (Vetro or others)
