Description

　　A nonprofit Downtown Los Angeles is looking for an Accountant to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity at a growing company. This position is temp to hire and HYBRID (in office 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week)

　　Responsibilities:

　　Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.

　　Ensuring compliance with financial standards as well as state and federal regulations.

　　Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs

　　Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.

　　Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.

　　Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

　　Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

　　Lead and execute development draws including internal and lender draws via excel.

　　Maintain and monitor project cash flows, ensuring adequate funding for development activities and identifying potential cash flow challenges.

　　Vendor management, reviewing and coding invoices, ensuring accuracy and processing payments in a timely manner; resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies.

　　Requirements

　　Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

　　Previous experience in accounting or a related field preferred.

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting software.

　　Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, laws, and regulations.

　　Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
