Program Summary
KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.
KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.
Job Summary
Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment. Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action. Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability. Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines. Under strict supervision, develops skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of products to specifications. Performs inspection of various operations activities; Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities; Notifies quality management of significant problems; Assists in documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Under the authority and direction of Turkey Quality Manager the Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for:
Providing document support to users; reviewing and maintaining the documents.
Revising/creating documents and maintaining the records.
Creating C/A Tracking Forms, assigning tracking numbers of records, and uploading C/A Tracking Forms.
Helping develop internal audit/Inspection schedules, maintaining audit/Inspection schedule, and monitoring performance status of the audits. Uploading audit reports.
Maintaining and updating the calibration records of the equipment used at Incirlik, Izmir and Ankara sites.
Conducting scheduled trend analysis and/or randomly selected internal quality audits/Inspections based on QM guidance through the contract year. Preparing and uploading the audit/inspection report after each audit/inspection. Conducting C/A follow-up audits/inspections if any deficiency was found during an audit.
Conducting unscheduled, no-notice internal quality audits/Inspections through the Contract year. Preparing and uploading the audit report after each audit. Conducting C/A follow-up audits if any deficiency was found during an audit/Inspection.
Conducting follow-up audits through the Contract year.
Emailing and/or calling self-inspection questions weekly to Incirlik, Izmir and Ankara sites. Maintaining and updating the self-inspection program records.
Basic Qualifications
Turkish Citizen
Education: 4-year university degree.
Fluent in Reading, Writing, Speaking and Comprehending English, Level 3.
Have a minimum “B” class driver’s license.
All male candidates must have completed military service.
Willing to work overtime, holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Possesses knowledge of industrial and office work conditions.
Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Experience in Auditing and CA/PA process is a plus.
Safety related experience is a plus (OSHA and or Turkish Safety Laws)
Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years’ general work experience.
Must be capable of using a computer and have knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/Project/ PowerPoint/etc.
Must have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Must have excellent customer relations, rapport ability and be able to learn on the job.
