　　Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, in an academic unit. Train under the supervision and direction of a faculty mentor who will provide the opportunity for collaborative and independent teaching. A postdoc appointment is for a minimum of one year with the possibility of annual re-appointment for up to four additional years, for a total not to exceed five years.

　　Teach either one large course or two regular courses every semester

　　Work under the guidance of a tenured faculty member of excellent qualifications, who agrees to serve as a mentor to the postdoc

　　Participate in teaching workshops offered by the Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Center at Texas Tech University to enhance instructional abilities

　　Contribute to the research and teaching mission of the department; service duties are confined to professional service in the field

　　The Department of Mathematics & Statistics is one of the largest departments on campus, with over 45 tenured and tenure track faculty.
