Overview
St. Luke’s Health System is currently seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with operating room assistant qualifications) to join our collegial and patient-focused Breast Surgery team in the Boise, Idaho metropolitan region. There are currently 3 breast surgeons, a PA, and an NP in our Breast Surgery Program. There are clinic locations in Boise and Meridian. Providers in the St. Luke’s Breast Surgery Program work at the St. Luke’s Hospitals in Boise, Meridian and Nampa. The APP would be supporting the Breast Surgery Program in both the clinic setting, assisting in the operating room, and helping to manage the hospital inpatients on the service (First Assist Required). In the clinic setting, the APP would be seeing a large number of patients with benign breast conditions as well as postoperative patients. The APP would always have a Breast Surgeon involved or available for co-management of the Breast Surgery Group’s patients. The work schedule would primarily involve weekdays in clinic or OR/hospital, with some possible night call for established patients only. Our St. Luke’s Breast Surgery team offers expertise in the most up to date care of patients with both benign and malignant breast disease. The APP should be very detail-oriented team player and have a compassionate approach to high-quality patient care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as aNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
