Truss Assembler - 3 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 4/1/24-10/30/24.

　　Employer: Structural Wood Corporation dba Roll Lock Truss, 243 Lincoln Ave , Waddington, NY 13694

　　Duties: Assisting in the production of roof and floor trusses. Inspect all materials for defects and if needed repair or replace defective pieces; must be able to work with a variety of materials and equipment, including different types of hand tools and power tools. Work primarily with lumbar components ranging from 2x4 inches to 2x12 inches in width and up to 20 feet in length. Assembleroof and floor trusses according to set specifications. Insert metal plate connectors by pressing into place using a gantry roller. Must adhere to all safety protocols and keep work areas clean at all times. Lifting and laying out lumber, nailing and removing jig blocks from table, hammering connector plates, stacking trusses, unloading, labeling, and banding finished trusses. The tools will include the following: Hammer, hammer holder, utility knife, nail gun, stapler, and hand press. Ability to walk, stand, crouch, twist and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. On-the-job training provided.

　　Travel to work-site locations within Saratoga. Albany, Schenectady and Rensselaer Counties of New York.

　　No education or experience required.

　　Work hours: Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12am; 40 hours/week at $20.83/hour. OT at $31.25/hour. onuses/raises may be paid at employer discretion based on performance, skill, tenure.

　　Employer will assist workers with securing housing(optional), but employer will not provide housing.

　　A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.

　　Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

　　H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).

　　Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
