JOB FUNCTION:

　　As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in the safe and timely delivery of goods to our retail stores. Your expertise in operating a semi-truck, ensuring the secure transport of cargo, and adhering to all relevant traffic and safety regulations is essential in helping us maintain our efficient retail store operation.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Inspect equipment before and after trips. Report equipment conditions as necessaryRead delivery assignment prior to departureDrive tractor-trailer, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver products or materials, possibly over long distancesManeuver truck into loading or unloading positionDrive truck to weigh stations as necessary along route to document weight and conform to state regulationsMaintains driver log according to regulationsOperate on-board technologyReturn backhauls as assignedReport to work when scheduledMaintain the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned equipmentOther duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Must be at least 21 years old or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid Class A CDLHave one of the following:

　　2 years over-the-road verifiable experienceSuccessful completion of an approved and accredited CDL transportation program based on the FMCSA Safety CurriculumUses good judgment in decision making

　　Ability to effectively interpret DOT and FMCSA RegulationsAbility to understand and follow maps and instructionsSuccessful completion of driving/backing evaluation by a Fareway CDL TrainerKnowledge of samsara ELDs is preferred, not required.High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multitask and handle multiple prioritiesBasic math skills are requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS:

　　Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, crawling, balancing, bending, and repetitive motionsAbility to handle stress, including emergency situationsMust pass FMCSA Clearinghouse check, DOT pre-employment physical and work screen, drug screen, and criminal background checkWORK ENVIRONMENT:

　　Generally, work inside climate controlled tractor.
