　　Job Summary

　　This position is for a bilingual clinician who screens, enrolls, andprovides an evidence-based brief group intervention in English and Spanish topatients who are pregnant and postpartum. Some groups are offered in personand some are offered via telehealth. Some individual therapy and casemanagement is included, as well. The position is part of a project funded bythe National Institutes of Mental Health and conducted by researchers at theUniversity of Denver. Clinician maintains active caseload and appropriatedocumentation of services in the electronic health record and study records.Clinician functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team in theprimary medical setting as well as part of the larger organization. Servicesuphold Colorado Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) Standards.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Responsible for intake, design of treatment recommendations and creatingplan of care at time of initial assessment. Facilitates individual telephonictherapy sessions and fundamental case management. Works as a member of amultidisciplinary patient care team demonstrated by the capacity to ask foradditional tasks, or helping team members when not busy. Coordinatemedication/ medicinal needs of patients with medical sources. (20%)Responds to patient and referral needs in a timely, professional andnon-defensive manner. (20%)Documents legibly, while accurately reflecting the patient's clinicalprogression. All therapeutic interventions and patient response tointerventions are documented within the prescribed guidelines. (20%)Works diligently to protect the confidentiality of patient information bycreating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment by sharing patientinformation only when necessary in the performance of the job responsibilitiesor to improve a patient's care. (20%)Makes attempts to re-engage any patient who seeks a premature discharge fromthe program. (10%)Participates in weekly team meetings and monthly educationalin-service/training events; attends workshops/conferences to promoteongoing professional and educational development. (10%)

　　Education:

　　Master's Degree Psychology or other related human services degree Required

　　Work Experience:

　　1-3 years Typically 5,000 hours or 2 years of clinical experience postmaster's degree. Required

　　Licenses:

　　Registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as aqualified licensure candidate; either as a Licensed Professional CounselorCandidate (LPCC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW). 2. CertifiedAddiction Counselor Level I, II, or III preferred.

　　Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

　　Performs in accordance with evidence-based clinical framework; achieves highstandards of care through the implementation of evidence based services andapplication of clinical policies and procedures for all patients.Keen understanding of the disease progression of psychiatric disorders andmotivating persons for positive change.Possesses critical thinking skills that lead to the identification of thestrengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approachesto problems.Promotes the capacity to provide clinical assistance, emotional support andmanagement skill building, or other necessary clinical care to patients whenneeded. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality ofpatients' records.Computer skills required.Computer skills preferred.
