SUMMARY: BankUnited is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to manage our Channels & Account Services product team. The Treasury Solutions Product Management Team Lead for Channels and Account Services is responsible for developing the vision, strategy, roadmap, and commercialization of the Channels & Account Services components of our product suite. Our suite of Channels includes Online and Mobile. The Account Services component includes key strategic features, including Information Reporting, Account Reconciliation, Positive Pay, Deposit Insurance, and Escrow Services. Additionally, the product manager will be responsible for facilitating and directing both internal and external team collaboration for programs from concept to delivery and be responsible for evaluating product performance, monitoring the competitive landscape, and managing ongoing product enhancements. This position reports to the Head of Product Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Product Strategy Define product strategies, anchored by compelling data, that deliver superior client value and contribute to the firm's objectives. Create product roadmaps and prioritize programs to support product strategy. Analyze emerging trends, market research, competitive analysis, customer feedback, and product/channel metrics to shape strategic direction.Collaborate with existing vendors on strategic opportunities and drive roadmap alignment in support of product strategy. Create presentations that inform and communicate product vision. Provide monthly promotions to highlight key staff accomplishments. Assist with analysis of pricing and profitability and craft recommendations for opportunities to increase revenue and decrease expenses.Product Development Define program scope, author business cases, and define user experience for new products and enhancements. Approve business requirements, KPIs and acceptance criteria for prioritized programs.Ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and account for any impacts to the organization. Influence and approve the user experience defined by the program teams.Collaborate with staff to define comprehensive commercialization plan, including sales, implementation, service, billing, and reporting. Ensure effective preparation and presentation by staff of statuses of programs to firmwide stakeholders. Provide transparency to business and technology leadership on project status and risks. Supplement user acceptance testing on feature development. Ensure defects are being managed effectively by vendor(s) and staff. o Provide effective communication on product improvements and new feature releasesDay to Day Collaborate with service representatives, account management, and sales teams to provide subject matter expertise as needed. Handle escalated problems, as needed from internal customers / business partners regarding services and procedures. Actively manage relationships with existing vendors to define and drive exceptional product performance in production.Ensure effective product risk management is practiced by the team and that key risk controls and monitoring are operating effectively. Adhere to Bank policies and procedures and complete required training. Perform special projects, as assigned by manager.Talent Management Actively invest in building and developing team members. Assist manager to actively define and drive continuous improvement into our operating model.Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal, and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e., Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.Identifies and reports suspicious activity.EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree in Business Administration or Technology preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in management of Treasury products provided via online and mobile channels.Client portal migration experience is preferred.Demonstrated experience in all aspects of product management, from Strategy to Development to P&L management to BAU oversight.Familiarity with Agile practices and design thinking a plus.Fluency in JIRA and familiarity with Bottomline, Fiserv, Salesforce, and nCino products a plus.Familiarity with, and comfort in, a sales environment, supporting our sales team with product-related and strategic discussions with prospects.
