  A Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-upcommissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of E+IEngineering 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgear, including PDU, ATS,PDC, circuit breakers, protective relays, plc, meters and otherautomated devices as well as mechanical repairs and modifications underthe direction of senior technicians. The FT is required to establish,promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers,sales representatives and others as appropriate. The FT is also requiredto maintain continuous communication with CRC, Supervisor, and directmanager.

  Qualifications

  2+ years of hands-on electronic experience or field services isdesiredTraining in electrical theory and technologies. Experience and/orprior military service performing applicable job duties.Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment andfundamentalsReading schematics and blueprints for power control, automation isdesired.Power distribution, AC/DC, Voltage Circuit Theory and practicaltroubleshooting skills is desiredBackground in electrical power including low voltage through mediumvoltage and experience with most types of switchgear testing is aplus.Experience with programming PLCs and HMIs is a plus.Mechanical aptitudeHigh School Diploma or GED requiredStandard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and ExcelSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,and the ability to adjust focusMust have ability to regularly lift at least 50 poundsValid driver\'s license is requiredFoster a Customer-First MindsetResponsibilities

  A Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-upcommissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting ofE+I Engineering 480VAC/15KVAC electrical switchgearThe Field Technician is required to establish, promote, and maintainexcellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, salesrepresentatives and others as appropriateAbility to evaluate the operating conditions of equipmentAbility to interact comfortably with all levels of internal andexternal customersMust have the ability and self-motivation to manage one\'s ownschedulePerform general and preventive maintenance on switchgearRespond to emergency calls at customer\'s requestStrive to provide all customers a \'first time fix\' for theirequipmentProvide accurate and timely communication to internal and externalcustomersMonitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety policies,procedures, guidelines and laws.Provide accurate and timely reporting of time cards, expensereports, etcWhile performing duties of the above jobs, the associate isregularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle orfeel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms;stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smellThe associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balanceDrive Continuous ImprovementWorking Conditions:

  Travel is required, Individual assignments are typically 3 to 5weeks in durationWhen on assignment, working schedules are typically 10-12 hours perday, 5-6 days per week, day, or night shiftThis is a hands-on field, travel type position. The travel - up to80% - could be national/international depending on site locationsFlexible schedules (weekends, evenings, and holidays)Benefits
