  Job Skills / Requirements

  We are looking for Uniformed Security Officers to be a part of our Travel Team. We are looking for candidates who can work in a team environment.

  You will travel from Vancouver/Portland to Salem Transit Station. Scheduling will be as needed, day and night shifts (0545-1345 & 1330-2330) weekend schedules (Sun- 0745-1445 & 1400-2030. Sat- 0615-1400 & 1345-2130) Travel time will be compensated and carpool options may be available. This is a great opportunity to expand your experience in the security industry while meeting and networking with new Team Members! End date TBD.

  Job Responsibilities:

  Security patrols of designated areas in vehicle and on foot

  Perform patrol checks at varying locations within assigned patrol route

  Maintain site security, and watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards

  Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities

  Build and maintain positive relationships within the community, protect the well-established reputation of Salem Transit

  Display a professional demeanor, appearance, integrity, with attention to detail

  Carry defensive tools after training and certification

  Assist first responders when appropriate

  Additional duties as assigned

  Job Specific Benefits:

  All current PPC benefits

  Wage: $21.00 per hour

  Carpool options may be available

  Travel time compensation

  Job Requirements:

  MUST HAVE a minimum 1 year in security, military, law enforcement or corrections

  Meet all PPC hiring requirements

  Must complete the following internal training: Defensive tactics, Handcuffing, Baton and OC

  CPR/First Aid

  Must be willing to work flexible schedule with minimal scheduling restrictions

  Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook (can be learned)

  Education Requirements (Any)

  High School Diploma GED

  Certification Requirements (Any)

  Valid State Drivers License
