  Personal Bankers have an in depth knowledge of Northwest products and services. The Personal Banker connects our customers with Northwest products and services that fulfill their financial needs while ensuring an exceptional customer experience that helps implement strategies to attain office and individual production goals.PERSONAL BANKER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Open new accounts and communicate with customers to recognize cross-selling opportunities and assist with mortgage, consumer loan, and credit card functions as neededActively engage with and greet customers and take ownership to resolve any customer issues or concernsConduct outbound business calls/referrals on a regular basisDeliver on our North(west) star experience and champion our customer's financial wellness through delivery of exceptional customer experience - both in person, over the phone, and through email communicationsAssist with implementation of Northwest's strategic business plan and marketing initiativesExceptional delivery of our 5 Culture PromisesIdentify and resolve customer issues as well as resolve or escalate issues referred by the office teamSeek opportunities for community involvementComplete educational training as assigned and self-educate using bank designed programs and applicationsHave general knowledge of all office systems and software, perform maintenance and possess an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, and digital offeringsResponsible for adherence to all security and dual control processes, daily branch tasks, and branch opening and closing tasks as neededAssist office management as needed with scheduling staff and completing Audit Certification requirementsWork evening hours and weekends as scheduled, assigned, or necessaryEnsure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulationsNavigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiencyWork as part of a teamWork with on-site equipmentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisionsAbility to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or writtenAbility to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and informationAbility to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and informationAbility to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areasQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
