The Specialist, Travel & Expense Operations will be responsible for day-to-day operations management, sustaining/improving service, and driving compliance across our global program. A key aspect of this role is the creation, execution, and ownership of the Travel & Expense operations and compliance strategy. This includes ensuring the correct service/compliance indicators in the areas of Process Improvement, Customer Experience, & Quality) are in place, improvement is consistently seen, and updating the indicators as needed to drive further program improvement. This role will be the key partner with our operational teams - both internally and externally. This role is an expansion to the Travel and Expense Team and will report to the Global Travel & Expense Manager and work closely with the Project Lead, Travel & Expense as well as our key suppliers (travel mgmt. company, airlines, hotels, car rentals, technology, and credit card suppliers). The Specialist, Travel & Expense Operations will play a key role in outlining the future strategy and vision of the Travel & Expense organization. This role will involve exposure to and interactions with various global leaders within the Company. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Execute and lead service excellence for Travel, Expense, and Credit Card services Identify and implement compliance/continuous improvement opportunities Manage global operations through a rigorous focus on quality, compliance, cost and efficiency Own day-to-day supplier management Drive identification and implementation of technology solutions Maintain effective stakeholder relationships globally and cross-functionally MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher in business, operations management, or related field 5+ years of expense, travel, and credit card experience with focus on compliance Concur Travel & Expense extensive knowledge Superior supplier management Strong analytical skills Ability to communicate and influence effectively across the organization, across different levels Ability to travel 10% (domestic and international) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Payment/AP knowledge Experience leading process improvement initiatives in a global, cross-cultural organization Global/multi-cultural customer service experience Experience leading a team -both direct and indirect Additional considerations: Minneapolis is the preferred location for the position, but we are open to 100% remote candidates with travel based on business needs. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $77900.00 - $117000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role.
