　　Job Description Summary:

　　The School of Nursing at the University of Kansas Medical Center seeks apart-time nursing educator to join our progressive and innovativefaculty, staff, and students. This can be a 9-month or 12-monthappointment. This position will be responsible for teaching in theTraditional BSN Program. Other responsibilities include serving onfaculty committees, mentoring students, and evaluation of educationalactivities.

　　The qualified candidate will have:

　　demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diversebackgrounds as well as with individuals at various organizational andeducational levels

　　strong organizational, management, and leadership skills

　　excellent communication skills and the ability to convey enthusiasm fora nursing career

　　demonstrated excellence in a nursing education program

　　This position will deliver excellent education to KU UndergraduateNursing students in the Traditional BSN Program. This position reportsto the Associate Dean of Academic and Faculty Affairs for the KU Schoolof Nursing.

　　Job Description:

　　Required Qualifications

　　Education: Master\'s Degree in Nursing from an accredited schoolof nursing; current Registered Nurse license issued by the State ofKansas or multi-state RN license issued by another Nurse LicensureCompact StateWork Experience: 1 year experience teaching in an undergraduatenursing programPreferred Qualifications

　　Education: Doctorate in nursing from an accredited school ofnursingWork Experience: 2 or more years teaching in an undergraduateand/or graduate nursing programSkills

　　Leadership in an academic program; experience in presenting andpublishing about educational innovationsDemonstrated ability to use technology in virtual and in-personacademic environmentsJob Duties Outlined:

　　Teaching in nursing programs according to educational preparationand program needCollaboration with nursing faculty at KU School of NursingParticipation in course and curriculum developmentService commitment to School and Medical Center\'s clinical,academic, and research partnershipsDevelops and implements special projects as necessaryOther duties as assignedRequired Documents:
