Job Summary:
Transports patients and materials throughout the hospital. May perform other activities related to transportation of patients as assigned, and will respond to code situations within the facility. Performs duties outlined in the appraisal program according to established standards. Must be able to lift and pull, as well as walk during entire shift of duty.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or GED, or currently enrolled in High School and must be at least 16 years old.
Experience: Hospital experience preferred, but not necessary.
Licensure/Certification: Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Primary Source Verification (if applicable): N/A
Knowledge/Skills: Must become proficient in handling all types of transports within ninety (90) days. This includes transports such as total hips, knees, and handling stretchers alone. Requires the ability to communicate and work well with all levels of patients, the public, as well as other health care professionals.
Other: Professional and neat appearance is required to project a positive image of CareAlliance. Must maintain strict confidentiality of all work-related information.
Contacts: Constant interactions with patients, nursing staff, support staff, and occasional contact with physicians, family members and management.
