Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Assist Supervisor and all transporters provides transport services and ensures that all assignments are completed on all shifts. Assists in solving problems and coordinates with other departments to assure responsive and professional and productive department.

Responsibilities:

Transport patients

Cleans equipment

Returns transport equipment to nursing units

Assists Supervisor in training of staff

Assists Supervisor in dept/employee policy compliance

Assists Supervisor in completing appropriate forms for tracking transport assignments

Conducts and or schedules staff meetings and monthly in-services of procedures, policy and safety standards

Responsibility of ensuring that all transportation equipment is in good operating condition

Checks faulty equipment and makes arrangements for repairs

Receives requests from nursing units and other departments for service and makes arrangements to have same performed in a timely manne

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

One year patient transport experience.

Ability to read, write and speak English required.

Preferred

Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

HS/GED preferred.

Pay Range

$18.00 - $21.40 /hour
