Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of your job position is to responsible for the transportation program; including transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy and any other transportation as deemed necessary.

What you will do:
Supervise the transportation departmental staff and responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency,
and training procedures.
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT); attend morning updates and report changes inparticipants’ baseline status to appropriate staff on a daily basis.
Ensure responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program.Ensure effective daily communications, via radio call or otherwise between the Center, transportation drivers,dispatch and transportation coordinator.

Ensure the daily work schedules for each Transportation Driver is communicated to each colleague.Ensure coordinating and scheduling daily delivery of home delivered meals, Durable Medical Equipment (DME),supplies and miscellaneous items as requested by the PACE Organization.
Collaborate with the Executive Director in the annual and capital budget development.Oversee the vehicle maintenance program, obtain estimates and authorize vehicle repairs per departmentalpolicies; research new vehicle options and assist in ordering and purchasing of new vehicles.
Responsible for ensuring participant satisfaction as it relates to transportation.Responsible for adherence to all regulations, both federal and state, which govern the operations of a PACEOrganization and licensed adult day care center.
Manage third party contracts for services including transportation, housekeeping, fire and security protection, anddietary. Maintain comprehensive vendor list with relevant contract and contact information. Ensure contracted
staffing levels are appropriate and provide feedback.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge obtained through a High School diploma; college degree is preferred
Minimum of one (1) year experience in working with the frail or elderly population;
Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience in a transportation setting; and five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry.
A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
Valid driver's license in good standing required.
Must be action-oriented, have business acumen, manage conflict well, be customer focused, have high decision quality, flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and have organizational agility. Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
Possess interpersonal skills to drive collaboration, commitment and productivity when working with cross functional teams, customers and end users. Must be comfortable functioning in a virtual, collaborative shared leadership environment.
Demonstrates superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills appropriate for audience comprehension. Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral, that may be used either in an on-site or virtual environment is required. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
Comprehensive to expert proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system. Knowledge of systems necessary, experience preferred. Ability to type with speed and accuracy. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job.
Position requires frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting. Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 20 pounds if applicable.
