Our primary clients are the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other Local Government agencies throughout our Central PA Region.The successful candidate will apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes. Sponsorship is not available for this position.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesReview and interpret plans, site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance to legal requirements and safety regulationsPerforms routine tests on concreate, soils and other materialsMeasure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and/or pavement to ensure compliance to plans and codes.Gathers and maintains record documentsMakes field notes and computationsNonessential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerform other related duties as assigned

　　Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience)1-4 years of Construction Inspection ExperiencePreferred ExperienceAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementPrevious PennDOT and or PA Turnpike Inspection ExperienceWorking ConditionsWork is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed.
