General Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the Transportation Aide is to drive the facility vehicle and transport residents, staff, and volunteers to a desired destination. The Transportation Aide provides assistance by escorting residents to and from medical appointments. The Transportation Aide is entrusted with the responsibility of caring for residents, families, co-workers, visitors and all others.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
v Reports all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to the appropriate supervisor/personnel.
v Reports requests of care needs to appropriate staff.
v Reviews daily appointment schedule and is available when indicated.
v Provides minimal assistance of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
v Assists nursing and therapy personnel with transfers to and from vehicle.
v Transports residents to and from facility for scheduled appointments.
Applicant must have a valid Iowa Driver's License, clean driving record, and pass a criminal background check.
Applicant MUST have a current/active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License.
