　　This position falls within the Transmission Operations Department of the organization. The analyst will work with senior level analysts and engineers to assess transmission construction projects, identify pertinent project aspects required by Transmission Operations requirements, evaluate the impact of identified modifications to the transmission system and catalog these changes for use by EMS modelers, Operations Setting Engineers that support our customer and client Transmission Operations staff. Identify and implement software improvements to integrate various databases to improve data processing methods, accuracy and timeliness. The analyst will work with in-house and client engineers, designers and modelers.

　　Primary Duties and Responsibilities

　　Access, review and compare one-lines diagrams and documents from different sources to identify relevant pending changes to the transmission system.

　　Retrieve, process, review and enter transmission configuration, facility impedances, thermal ratings and other data from various data bases and sources

　　Develop data files required to implement related changes within various databases, EMS model, and Operator displays in synchronism with the timing of the actual facility changes in the field

　　Compile and create RTO data submittals and other various activities as assigned

　　Assist in the refinement of processes and procedures for processing from initial project data through the implementation of these data into the EMS model and other TOPS models

　　Prepare final data in appropriate format and issue to assigned client field and/or operations staff

　　Assist modeling engineers implementing this data in the EMS and other TOps models as appropriate

　　Review and mark-up network and station one line diagrams consistent with established client procedures

　　Understand the interrelationship between transmission network performance and component equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, buses, reactors, protective relays) failure and determine appropriate database changes to ensure continued real-time reliability of the transmission network

　　Work under supervision of Engineers II, III, IV, Senior Engineers, Principal Engineers, and Supervisor

　　Provide timely input to routine construction documents related to project initiated changes to the transmission system

　　Position requires up to 10% travel to client offices

　　Education and Experience Requirements

　　Zero to two years of experience in utilities working with database software applications

　　Zero to two years of experience completing database related projects from start to finish

　　Zero to two years of experience understanding, validating and developing network and station one line diagrams

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET)

　　Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET) will count towards years of experience

　　An EIT License is desirable but not required

　　Fundamental knowledge of (or the ability to learn) electricity, electrical drawings and terminology
