　　HNTB is embarking on a major 25-mile $2 billion bus rapid transit project that will be the standard by which all other US projects will be measured. This is a transformational project and long-term opportunity as it is a marquee project of a $7.5 billion, 20-year program. Join our team as Transit Design Coordinator and champion successful project designs that are consistently produced, delivered, and maintained in a way that meets client criteria and standards.

　　What You'll Do:

　　Uses senior-level technical expertise to consider broad range of engineering solutions.

　　Responsible for the discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and leadership and adherence to the schedule, and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects.

　　Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.

　　Develops scope of work and level of effort and manages adherence to scope and budget on complex or unusual engineering projects within discipline.

　　Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.

　　Provides technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve overall project objectives on complex or unusual engineering projects.

　　Coordinates technical aspects of the project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline on complex or unusual engineering projects.

　　Leads discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects. Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

　　Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work for other disciplines on multi-discipline projects on complex or unusual engineering projects

　　Performs other duties as assigned.

　　What You'll Need:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or

　　Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or

　　PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience

　　Primary Focus Will Include:

　　Winning, contracting, and successfully delivering 4for4 (on-time, on-budget, quality, client satisfaction) on multi-disciplined or large/complex projects. Identifying and handling risk and change management independently.

　　Leading large teams inside and outside of HNTB using sub-consultants.

　　Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver complex projects.

　　Leading HNTB Sophisticated processes as applicable to the project.

　　Serving as the lead interface with the client.

　　Deploying talent to other projects and developing successors to work with same client on other work.

　　Responsible for ensuring that project designs are consistently produced, delivered, and maintained in a way that meets client criteria and standards.

　　Managing and coordinating the flow of information between different departments or teams to ensure that inter-agency consistency.

　　Monitors and logs requested project changes related to the scope, cost, or schedule of the project.

　　Processes change requests and reviews supporting documentation.

　　Identifies baseline documents to be impacted by change.

　　Documents decisions on each issue in the change log and coordinates impacted parties for approvals.

　　Ensures revised baseline documents are processed in accordance with document control processes.

　　What We Prefer:

　　Transit project design experience

　　Experience with Houston METRO, City of Houston, TxDOT and Harris County

　　Master’s degree in Engineering

　　15 years relevant experience

　　Professional Engineer (PE) certification

　　American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification

　　Project Management Professional (PMP)
